What started as time filler during a period of unemployment has evolved into a hobby that some friends have encouraged me to market online.

The name Solid Wood is the concept. There are no metal fasteners or screws and every piece is made to show the natural beauty of the woods used.

Keep in mind these are not toys. They contain many small pieces, and are meant to be admired, not played with. Buy a Tonka Toy for that. These are not kits. They are handmade one at a time from hardwood stock. Some pieces contain as many as 11 different exotic woods. In the interest of time and appearance, I do not make the truck and car wheels or the tractor headlights, and I don't make my own dowel. Every other part is handmade.
